Teknologi ini dirancang untuk mempercepat sekaligus meningkatkan efisiensi pengeringan kopi robusta Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>Robustera diterapkan bersama Kelompok Tani Sinarbanten di Desa Gunung Sadar, Kecamatan Abung Tengah, Kabupaten Lampung Utara, melalui skema Penerapan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (PKM-PI).<\/p>\n<p>Tim yang dibina dosen Fadli Hastito, M.T., dari Program Studi Rekayasa Instrumentasi dan Automasi, beranggotakan Egi Setiawan (ketua), Julius Lionel Gustalvo, Muhammad Rizki Saputra, Rahmat Ramadhan, dan Yolanda Novelin.<\/p>\n<p>Ketua tim, Egi Setiawan, mengatakan pengembangan Robustera dilatarbelakangi proses pengeringan kopi yang masih bergantung pada cuaca. Dengan metode konvensional, pengeringan membutuhkan waktu sekitar 7\u201314 hari hingga kadar air kopi sesuai standar. Robustera memanfaatkan sekam, kulit cangkang, dan kulit ari kopi sebagai bahan bakar biomassa yang diolah menjadi briket. Pemanfaatan limbah tersebut tidak hanya mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap cuaca, tetapi juga menekan asap yang berpotensi memengaruhi kualitas kopi.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Robustera memanfaatkan sekam, kulit cangkang, dan kulit ari kopi sebagai bahan bakar biomassa yang diolah menjadi briket. Pemanfaatan limbah tersebut tidak hanya mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap cuaca, tetapi juga menekan asap yang berpotensi memengaruhi kualitas kopi.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sistem pengering menggabungkan biomassa dengan energi surya. Panel surya digunakan untuk mengoperasikan blower, sistem monitoring, dan heater sebagai pemanas tambahan.<\/p>\n<p>Saat alat dinyalakan, heater memanaskan filamen selama sekitar 90 detik. Blower kemudian bekerja otomatis untuk memperbesar bara dan menyalurkan panas ke ruang pengering. Sistem monitoring mengatur suhu secara otomatis. Ketika suhu melebihi 50 derajat Celsius, kecepatan blower diturunkan agar suhu tetap terkendali.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam pengujian berkapasitas 15 kilogram kopi, Robustera mampu menurunkan kadar air dari 30,5 persen menjadi 10 persen dalam sekitar dua jam dengan menggunakan 20 briket biomassa. Teknologi ini juga berpotensi digunakan untuk mengeringkan komoditas lain, seperti pinang, kakao, dan padi.<\/p>\n<p>Mitra desa, Candra Darussman, mengatakan Robustera membantu meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas pengolahan kopi. Proses yang sebelumnya dapat berlangsung hingga dua minggu kini dapat diselesaikan dalam beberapa jam.<\/p>\n<p>Program ini sebelumnya melalui seleksi internal Itera, kemudian lolos seleksi nasional dan memperoleh pendanaan dari Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi.
