{"id":40899,"date":"2026-08-12T14:38:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T07:38:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.itera.ac.id\/?p=40899"},"modified":"2026-08-12T14:39:51","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T07:39:51","slug":"itera-kenalkan-teknologi-pengolahan-air-limbah-berbasis-alam-di-pesantren-assahil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.itera.ac.id\/en\/itera-kenalkan-teknologi-pengolahan-air-limbah-berbasis-alam-di-pesantren-assahil\/","title":{"rendered":"Itera Kenalkan Teknologi Pengolahan Air Limbah Berbasis Alam di Pesantren Assahil"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\" id=\"wpb-content-root\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>ITERA NEWS \u2013<\/strong> Institut Teknologi Sumatera (Itera) mengenalkan teknologi <em>constructed wetland<\/em> sebagai solusi pengolahan air limbah berbasis alam kepada santri Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Qur&#8217;an (PPTQ) Assahil, Desa Tanjung Wangi, Kecamatan Waway Karya, Kabupaten Lampung Timur, Sabtu, 8 Agustus 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Teknologi tersebut diperkenalkan melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang melibatkan dosen Program Studi Teknik Lingkungan dan Rekayasa Tata Kelola Air Itera serta mahasiswa KKN Rekognisi 2026. Kegiatan mengusung tema <em>Pemberdayaan Santri melalui Implementasi Teknologi Constructed Wetland dalam Pengelolaan Air Limbah Menuju Pesantren Berkelanjutan<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Ketua Tim PkM, Indah Yusliga Sari Purba, S.Si., M.T., menjelaskan <em>constructed wetland<\/em> merupakan salah satu pendekatan <em>Nature-based Solutions<\/em> yang meniru proses alami lahan basah untuk mengolah air limbah. Teknologi ini memanfaatkan media filter, mikroorganisme, dan tanaman tertentu untuk membantu menurunkan kadar pencemar dalam air limbah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Constructed wetland<\/em> mengajak kita mempelajari cara alam bekerja dalam mengolah air. Teknologi ini dapat menjadi alternatif pengolahan air limbah yang sederhana dan sesuai untuk diterapkan di lingkungan pesantren,\u201d ujar Indah.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3><em>Constructed wetland<\/em> mengajak kita mempelajari cara alam bekerja dalam mengolah air. Teknologi ini dapat menjadi alternatif pengolahan air limbah yang sederhana dan sesuai untuk diterapkan di lingkungan pesantren<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dosen Program Studi Rekayasa Tata Kelola Air Itera, Erlina Kurnianingtyas, S.T., M.Eng., kemudian memperkenalkan prinsip kerja dan komponen <em>constructed wetland<\/em> kepada para santri. Materi dilanjutkan dengan praktik pembuatan sistem pengolahan air limbah.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan pendampingan tim PkM dan mahasiswa, santri mempraktikkan penyusunan media dan penanaman vegetasi adaptif, seperti bunga tasbih dan eceng gondok. Sistem yang digunakan terdiri atas tipe <em>subsurface flow<\/em> dan <em>free-water floating<\/em> untuk mengolah air limbah dari aktivitas laundry pesantren.<\/p>\n<p>Santri juga belajar memantau kinerja sistem melalui pengamatan pertumbuhan tanaman dan pengukuran kualitas air limbah. Praktik tersebut memberikan pengalaman langsung mengenai penerapan teknologi sederhana dalam pengelolaan lingkungan.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk mendukung keberlanjutan program, tim PkM menyerahkan buku panduan <em>constructed wetland<\/em> kepada PPTQ Assahil.
